The famous Key Route Inn on the 22nd Street line of the San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose Railway. The downtown Oakland street would later be known as Grand Avenue, route of the B-line. Courtesy of John Stashik
The Key Route Inn was torn down to make way for connecting the east and west sides of 22nd St. in Oakland to form what is now Grand Ave.

Any idea when the Key Route Inn was demolished. Two beautiful buildings are on the West side of the street, the Breuners and the I Magnin buildings. Was this building on the east side?

This building burned down in the 1920"s. This building was on the west side of Broadway. The I Magnin building is @ 20th & Broadway. The Inn was at 22th & Broadway.
