This is another view of the Las Juntas crossing location. The actual location is obscurred with development, although I believe it was near where the BART tracks presently are. There is even a short street named Las Juntas.

I grew up a block from that crossing... used to run down to watch the trains go by. The Sacramento Northern and the Southern Pacific tracks crossed each other exactly at Las Juntas directly under the current Bart tracks.
Some references refer to this stop as Sparkle. It's possible this is because of either the diamond shape of the tracks crossing..or because of the sparks caused by wheels hitting the other tracks.
