This is the North 6th Street crossing in Concord, as it appeared in the early 1970's. By that time, very little traffic traveled on the line, and it was soon removed back to Clyde. BART now crosses under this same location.

In the early 1960's, my fiends and I use to sit atop of the railroad signal platform and watch the train, (SN 44 ton switchers # 141, 142, 145 and 146, also SN VO 1000 # 407 along with various Alco s2 switchers). When they were building BART. They ran 2 different "Rail Trains" using SN's F3 and WP's F7's, along with a switcher too. I grew up 2 blocks down on Ida Drive. Across the street from this photo is "Don's Market".
